You are correct in pointing out that stoning is a practice of the OT, but then when people start objecting to homosexual behavior "because the Babble sez so", they should explain why some parts of it are to be taken as a moral guide and some are not. They also should explain why they are bundling the OT and NT together and pretending it *all* to be inspired by God. Personally, I don't need to take moral guidance from a book that was maybe acceptable for bedouin kings of the Bronze Age. Atheist or not, try reading a little more into your ecumenical studies before you flame someone for whatever reason.
